Cold-Formed Steel Design
Cold-formed steel (steel stud) design is the heart of our practice. Our portfolio includes subway stations, hospitals, schools, daycares, and correctional facilities. We have contributed to the design of multiple major hospitals and support a long list of steel stud contracting firms across complex commercial and institutional projects. One of our team members sits on the CSA S136 technical committee. Our focus is always on constructability, cost-efficiency, and performance, pushing cold-formed steel to its full potential while staying grounded in practical realities on site.
Structural Steel and Connections
We design structural steel systems and connections. When a project demands longer spans, higher loads, or complex support conditions, we utilize structural steel to its full potential. One of our team is also a member of the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC). We work closely with structural steel fabricators to ensure our designs are buildable, efficient, and aligned with the architectural intent. That collaboration means fewer surprises in the shop and fewer headaches on site.
Seismic Restraint Design
We design seismic restraint systems that protect mechanical, electrical, and piping (MEP) equipment and architectural elements during seismic events. Our team understands the complex interaction between building motion and equipment response, and we develop solutions that are practical, code-compliant, and minimize the risk of damage and injury. Masonry Veneer and Support Systems
We design masonry veneer systems and support structures that are safe, durable, and code-compliant. Our team ensures that veneer attachments, supports, and details integrate seamlessly with the structural frame, protecting both performance and appearance. From small facades to large-scale cladding, we deliver practical solutions tailored to each project.
Specialty Structural Components
We regularly design pipe supports, ceiling framing systems, mechanical platforms, signage and pylon sign supports, lifting devices, mezzanines, miscellaneous metals, and other architectural and mechanical elements. These components may be smaller in scale, but they are just as critical to the success of a project, and we treat them that way.
